POSITION
The Jonas workplace is dynamic and empowering and comprised of motivated self-starters who enjoy the thrill of working in a fast-paced environment. Immediately, we are seeking an ambitious individual who will learn about our business and our product, as well as our clients’ businesses by filling the role of Quality Assurance testing & Customer Support Rep. Reporting directly to the Product Manager for our new construction ERP running in the Microsoft Azure cloud – Jonas Premier. This is a ‘ground floor’ opportunity to join a growing team rolling out a brand new product.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Product Manager for Jonas Premier, the core responsibilities of the position are to:
- Work proactively to constantly improve Quality of the application.
- Perform manual ad-hoc testing when required.
- Create and Maintain Regression and Smoke test suites.
- Designing, implementing, and documenting deliverables (such as test cases and test data)
- Creating and tracking metrics that illustrate test coverage
- Log defects and work closely with developers to investigate, troubleshoot and verify defects
- Create user help documentation for existing product. (5-10%)
- Work with software QA team lead to review test results
- Work effectively within our Agile software development team
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
- QA Experience, preferably testing web-based applications.
- Experience with enterprise relational database systems (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to take direction from team lead.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Must be able to interact effectively with technical programmers and end users.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in accounting based applications is a definite asset.
- Experience in administrative side of the construction industry
- Experience in designing, deploying and supporting automated tests is desirable but not mandatory
- Experience writing unit tests for .Net & visual studio applications is preferable
- Experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Experience writing unit tests for Silverlight applications.
- Experience working with Microsoft Test Manager.
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum testing processes is highly desired.
- Experience with Cloud based Silverlight applications.
